OH YEAH!!!
HAPPY 15yrs MMMBOP!
Hanson’s teen pop anthem “MMMBop” hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart on May 24, 1997. The track was included on the Hanson brothers’ 1997 debut “Middle of Nowhere.” It was also the title track to their independently released 1996 demo album.
Early recordings of the band, which consisted of the three Hanson brothers, lacked the polish needed to score a radio hit but, while speaking with Billboard, hit-making producers the Dust Brothers put a final polish on the material. Dust Brother John King says their “MMMBop” demo proved that the trio had hit potential.
“The demo stood out above and beyond anything we had heard in a long while,” King said. “We thought, ‘This is a hit song.’”
When “MMMBop” hit the top of the charts, it took over on the Hot 100 for Notorious B.I.G.’s hit “Hypnotize.” Hanson held on at number one for three weeks before Puff Daddy, Faith Evans and 112 claimed the top spot with their tribute to the recently slain Notorious B.I.G. “I’ll Be Missing You.”

Jennie is a Hanson fan; that is to say she listens to their albums and loves their music.
She…
